Itchy Robot (born Patrick Hughes in Wexford, Ireland) is a dubstep DJ and producer based in Sussex. Founding member and lead producer of Afterdark Productions, Itchy’s legendary sound has taken the Dubstep scene by storm over the last five years. Infamous for his legendry dancefloor anthem ‘Raw’ and Chemical Records’ all-time third best seller ‘Big Up And Burn Her’, he continues to churn out hit after hit at a frightening speed. Now signed to a massive 20 record labels (including Afterdark Dubs, 10 Bag, 3.5, Boka Juniors, XS Records, Scrubadub and Badman Press) he also manages to maintain a hectic gigging schedule, having just arrived back from a sell-out tour of California.

DLX Hailing from North Carolina, DLX made the transfer to Los Angeles

Being an influential part of the LA Dubstep scene as one of
the first producers, he also earned spots as a resident dj in the
Dubstep community via legendary Los Angeles Dubstep pioneers

The entity known as ASHTROBOT (sounded out just ash-tro-bot) has a fine-tuned skill for maximizing delayed gratification within the scope of his productions. He isn’t scared to go all-out-grimey but his own kingdom is Purple and there he lounges on a throne of bass, rhythm and melodies. This 21-year-old next level space creature didn’t come to his present status instantaneously – it’s been a road of musical diversity

Real name Ash Riser was born and raised in Redondo Beach. In the 4th grade he received a beginner’s set of Gemini belt-driven turntables and a seed was planted that would not flower until after a run with his high school rock band. Before ever moving into the realm of dubstep or house he was singing, playing guitar,writing,
and performing live with his band Pistol Pistol regularly.

Around December 2009 and January 2010 Ash started really focusing on his independent productions skills after his long-time band broke apart. He was picked up by the RIZO crew in los angeles as their first redisent bass music producer/dj at 20, and played his first 600+ event on his 21st birthday. Summer of Bass. Ash founded D.R.E.A.M. (Dubstep Rules Everyting Around Me) Brigade in December 2009 as an event but after seeing how far he wanted to push it the idea changed into that of an underground independent label

With new releases planned periodically over the next year and appearances at a multitude of different events, shows, and parties the BOT is in a position to capitalize on his young age and extreme talent. You WILL see him at a show if you’re into dubstep in the LA area, and you will hear his tracks being played

It was in the confines of a preteen’s room where in which the first drones of The Polymer Drone were created. This San Diego native made his first mixes with his very own cassette tapes recorded off local radio stations. More commonly referred to as Jafar, the somewhat introverted teenager soon found his favorite form of communication: dropping beats. Thanks to the confines of a strict curfew this transplanted OC resident dedicated late night hours to researching, creating, and essentially living music. His evolution from cassettes into drum and bass vinyl became the source of numerous backyard parties as well as stacks of noise violations. As the years passed, it became more and more apparent he had something to say. Moving from jungle beats to IDM, indie hip hop to electro and dub step, his opinions and beats got stronger and hit harder.

Jafar began generating his own productions at 19, and the passion in his music was instantly palpable. His conceptions were created on the most basic of equipment, however his knowledge expanded rapidly, and within the first years was already helping other aspiring artists score their short films and videos. Influenced by his favorite artist, DJ Shadow, Jafar’s roots are strong in down tempo and IDM, however after establishing 6ix:Twelve Productions in 2007 with his best friend, dance and electronic mixes were the first exclusive mash-ups and original scores to be released. Almost instantly the focus, as well as the studio expanded, inspiring gigs and parties from clubs to warehouses to music festivals all over southern California. By 2009, Jafar’s resume expanded to include playing a vast variety of venues such as Avalon, Detroit Bar, the Geisha House, La Cave, Chateaux, Envy Lounge, and 944 Magazine events, as well as placing high in the rankings of an array of remix contests. Amidst a social scene he felt out of place in, The Polymer Drone emerged, specializing in dub step with more aggressive beats than he had ever created or played before.

The year 2010 has brought the Drone his biggest achievements thus far, taking him to the Elbo Room in San Francisco and the desert to play an unexpected yet demanded 3 hour set at Mecca. His first single as The Polymer Drone, Dirty Little Secret,” is a grimey banger that will be hitting stores soon, displaying the notion that his career is not going anywhere but big. The Polymer Drone is one of the scene’s most energetic and spastic performances to date. In the impossible circumstance you cannot feel the emotions transmitted through his tracks, the performances complete with bouncing, jumps, head bangs, fist pumps, and gyrations should do the trick. Keep in mind to expect the unexpected with this one, for as the music evolves as will he.
