TATTOO’S ALWAYS APPEALED TO ME AND I STARTED MESSING AROUND WITH BACKYARD SCRATCH SESSIONS ON FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN THE EARLY 90′S AND TATTOOED ON AND OFF HERE AND THERE JUST FOR FUN WHILE MAINLY FOCUSING ON MY CUSTOM PAINTING OF CARS, MOTORCYCLES, BOATS, PLANES, ETC, ETC.

I BLENDED THE STREET GRAFFITI STYLES, TRADITIONAL AUTO ART, AND TATTOO FLAVOR FOR A UNIQUE LOOK THAT STOOD OUT IN THE AUTO SCENE…NOW CONCENTRATING ON TATTOO’S AND FINE ART FULL TIME AND AT ONE OF THE MOST CREATIVE POINTS IN MY LIFE!!!

Grant Burkheimer A.K.A. Homage is a HipHop and Dubstep producer based out of Los Angeles
CA. Homage is a newcomer at the age of 22, but has been hard at work on production since he was 14.
Since then he has come a long way, he started playing out at the age of 16, going to open mics and
performing either original hip hop or slam poetry. As he grew older, electronic music grew more
popular, dubstep caught his attention in early 2007 and since then it has been his primary focus.
Homage has played at the now legendary Bassface parties hosted by LA
bass don Sam Robson, playing alongside Jakes, Flying Lotus, and Ras G. Other shows
include the recent Extreme Thing Sports and Music Festival in Las Vegas NV, Frequency with D.R.E.A.M. Brigade affiliates Ahstrobot and Pavorotti.
Homage was recently added to the upcoming Bombadub showcase in Pasadena, which will include performances from Luckyiam (Living Legends), Ashtrobot, Machete, Knorsq and DJ Nykon.
Homage currently has a free EP up for grabs on bandcamp.com. This 5 song free EP titled
‘FromWhere?’ quickly gained fair recognition and was featured on the US Dubstep website.
Homage’s current projects include a remix for Sam XL and his new project “Pure Filth Sound”

Other projects include a 2 track collaboration EP which will be released with Mesck (another up-andcoming
dubstep act in Los Angeles) and another solo 5 song EP (expected release in Fall 2012).
Currently, Homage is hard at work putting together a ‘FromWhere?’ remix compilation including uand-
coming artists such as Coffi, Audiak, Ashtrobot, The Polymer Drone, The Megadread Project,
Blankface and many more. The release date is unconfirmed at this time however it will be free, and will
feature the best up-and-coming producers the city of angels has to offer! Expect big things from this
artist in the months and years to come.

MACHETE ignited his musical journey back in 1992 as DJ Rob G,
spinning Hip-Hop at Hollywood afterhours events such as No-Doz, What?, and Caffiend.
The Los Angeles underground rave culture was in it’s infancy and Rob was inspired by the techno-breakbeat music emerging out of England via vinyl records played by DJs Raw, Curious, and Oscar da Grouch.
These frantic bass-heavy beats that evolved from old-school breaks layered with HipHop and Reggae samples were intriguing and propelled him in a new direction.
Rob, encouraged by his peers, changed his professional name to Machete in 1994…
a title meant to evoke the nature of his mixing and cutting skills in relation to this new Jungle music.

The most faithful and resolute of electronic music producers maintain the rare ability to mold a collective series of sounds into a definitive structure that not only captures the essence of a given genre, but the essence of the artist himself. Those who are brave enough to venture outside the studio and present their craft to the world via DJ session or Live PA, carry the burden of having to seduce a crowd with their raw charisma. The responsibility of the artist and the performer are not always symbiotic. Sometimes the characteristics of the artist outweigh the performer. Sometimes it is the other way around. Any way you cut it, artists like Los Angles based Dubstep producer Jacob Coma seem to amount to the sum of both these traits with the greatest of ease.
Coma is a rare specimen who has rhythm tattooed to the invisible surface of his conscience. From his days as a child banging on pots and pans while his mother worked in the kitchen to his prodigious introduction into electronic music as a Hip Hop DJ, it has always been abundantly clear that music is in his blood. But a deep, intrinsic love and understanding of music can only get an artist so far. They must be able to accept, analyze and embrace all forms of music with an unwavering sense of curiosity. Perhaps it is that very sense of curiosity that has allowed Coma to excel stylistically. His musical pallet is seemingly endless, with influences that revolve around a complex constellation of genres. From House to Reggae, Jazz to Drum and Bass, Hip Hop, Breakbeats and beyond, Coma has spent the better part of his life lapping it all up.
Coma’s current endeavors into the realm of Dubstep have yielded a dynamic array of sounds. Melodic hooks, sweeping breakdowns and wobbling bass lines have become ubiquitous characteristics of his style. However, Coma carefully balances his driving, dance floor busting grooves with subtle audio edits and precision-crafted effects that provide an unsettling moodiness to his tracks. While listeners’ bodies absorb the fullness of his audio-logical aura, their minds wonder elsewhere, carried off by molecular eruptions of ambient noise that seem to radiate into deep space.
The creature he becomes on stage further highlights the impact of his musical presence. While performing Coma physically transmits his energy to the audience, giving them little choice but to become physically involved. He presents himself as a mythic Banton of sound system culture, gracing the decks with an uncanny ease as he rallies a crowd around his big, bad bass. But as he winds his way through his performance, jumping and bouncing all over the stage, he maintains an air of humility. He is part of the party, not the party itself.
Coma’s remixes of artists such as T-Pain, The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s and The Baby Namboo’s have put him on the map as a crafty up and coming producer. This 21-year-old next level space creature didn’t come to his present status instantaneously – it’s been a road of musical diversity

Real name Ash Riser was born and raised in Redondo Beach. In the 4th grade he received a beginner’s set of Gemini belt-driven turntables and a seed was planted that would not flower until after a run with his high school rock band. Before ever moving into the realm of dubstep or house he was singing, playing guitar,writing,
and performing live with his band Pistol Pistol regularly.

Around December 2009 and January 2010 Ash started really focusing on his independent productions skills after his long-time band broke apart. He was picked up by the RIZO crew in los angeles as their first redisent bass music producer/dj at 20, and played his first 600+ event on his 21st birthday. Summer of Bass. Ash founded D.R.E.A.M. (Dubstep Rules Everyting Around Me) Brigade in December 2009 as an event but after seeing how far he wanted to push it the idea changed into that of an underground independent label

With new releases planned periodically over the next year and appearances at a multitude of different events, shows, and parties the BOT is in a position to capitalize on his young age and extreme talent.
